Heart shaped bowls, gargoyles with horns and tentacles and big tongues

Christopher Sacre, who led our pinch-pot workshops at the Canterbury Pageant has kindly sent us some pictures. Outside: a splendidly arrayed procession recreates the years when the shrine of Thomas Becket made Canterbury an important place for medieval pilgrimage.  Inside: among the diffused light and stained glass of the church, Canterbury youth decide there’s more than a passing resemblance between medieval gargoyles and tentacled space aliens.  Their traditional ‘mazer’ pots have a modern twist!

As we are in the 21st Century some of the children decided to give the pinch bowl a modern twist!
