OH – U – TO

Our history – uncovered – through objects.

A project for people with learning disabilities.

Be a Museum Curator, explore the history of learning disabilities care during the 1900s, using the objects at Glenside Hospital Museum, Fishponds.

Have you an interest in exploring the past and learning new skills?

Project start date: April 2018. Be a museum curator for a four month project, one day a week. Dates and time to be arranged. Project will finish in July 2018.

Ideal for anyone interested in exploring history and learning new skills.

Purple Stars Learning Disabilities Heritage team from London, will inspire us by presenting the heritage projects they have developed, explain what their experience was and how to use Wiki (an App) as a tool to explore history and develop the story.

You will develop a story using an artefact or photograph you found interesting from the Museum collection.
Your work will be displayed in the museum , and used on social media for visitors to enjoy and become informed.
